There's a new man in South Africa

Brothers for Life – Welkom

Lesedi-Lechabile Men Engage (MEP) and High Transmission Area (HTA) programmes will partner with the Beatrix’s HIV and Wellness Committee for the World Aids day event and deliver key messages in relation to HIV prevention and launch the Brothers for Life Campaign in Welkom.

Yenza kahle –Brothers for Life is a SANAC led awareness campaign that targets adult men in the fight against HIV. Funded by USAID/PEPFAR and implemented by Johns Hopkins Health and Education in South Africa (JHHESA), Sonke Gender Justice , National Department of Health and forty other civil society partners, Brothers for Life aims to reach adult men and engage them about the values that define a Brother for Life in relation to HIV prevention.

The event comprises of speakers and health and wellness partners with entertainment education as well as information (IEC) stalls that include the management of STI’s and voluntary counselling and testing facilities.
