Gladwell decides to sell his car to have enough money to support Zama and to get out of debt. He bumps into Nomfundo, whose song is now a big hit. She tells him she is HIV negative. Gladwell discloses his status to the congregation at church. He discusses his feelings about the decisions he's made and how he is coping with his status. He offers support to anyone who needs it and urges others not to make the same mistakes he has. Bra Thaps is still upset but comes round and supports Gladwell, teaching him about the necessity to be adherent. He tells him he should go to counselling and continue his journey. Nomfundo is planning a youth event to celebrate her new single and invites Bra Thaps to speak at the event.
