Wally Cindi

Wally Cindi (41)has become a darling to his community of Mohlabeng in Mafikeng where he provides one-on-one support to men who are either living with HIV or fear to take up an HIV test. He has been living with HIV for 11 years and not much has changed about his daily routines except taking up his medication. When he is not counselling people at his house, he is plying his trade in the construction sector as a builder. While some people often take time before they disclose, Cindi found solace from his long-term friend who happened to be a health care worker. Although it wasn't anything good to talk about, the advice he got from this friend was mainly on taking care of his health. He says this remains powerful in his journey of living with HIV as he has never fallen sick thanks to healthy lifestyle and ARVs. Catch Wally Cindi on Motweding FM talking about his many years of living with HIV.
